Pittsburgh Public Schools hired Massaro CM Services for the 43,574 square foot renovation to its existing Frick facility to house a new science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) focused magnet school for grades six -12. The Pittsburgh Science and Technology Academy at Frick opened for the start of the 2009-2010 school year with 250 students in grades six through nine. Each year thereafter an additional grade will be added until the school reaches full capacity at 550 students in 2012-13.
